Alabama A & M University employee dies in car crash.  Alabama A & M University lost an employee of more than 30 years Thursday when Cheryl Witt succumbed to injuries sustained in a car crash. Huntsville police say that Cheryl Witt was heading west on Interstate 565 near Research Park Boulevard that morning when a car traveling eastbound lost control and crossed over the median.  Police say an 18-wheeler in front of Cheryl Witt swerved out of the way, and the oncoming car crashed head-on into Cheryl Witt.  Police say that she likely did not see the on-coming car because of the truck in front of her and she  had no time to react.
