Pleasant "Plez" Witt was born on August 24, 1840  in Livingston, Alabama to the union of William "Bill" Witt and Fannie Hare and died on February 12, 1926 in Laurel, Mississippi at the age of 85 years old. Pleasant was married to Amanda "Mauda" Moore and to that union the children are; Robert Witt, Sophy Witt, Pleasant, Rebecca "Becky Ann" Witt, Eva Witt, Ella Witt, Amanda Witt, Mary Witt, William L Witt, and Mack Witt. Pleasant spent all of his adult life in Belmont - Livingston communities and his final days with Eva Witt Little, his daughter in Laurel, Mississippi.  Pleasant was a very successful farmer. In the 1920 Census, Pleas was 79 years old, widowed, and lived in Laurel, Mississippi in the household of Walter Little, son-in-law and Eva Witt Little, his daughter.
