William Bill Witt was born in Quitman, North Carolina in 1820 and he was married to Fannie Hare who was born in 1820, and from this union Pleasant Witt, 1840, and Henry Witt, 1842  were born. The Witt family was enslaved by the Arrington family. There is evidence that the Arrington family settled in Virginia, migrated to North Carolina, and eventually, Alabama, the Southern District, which eventually became, Livingston, Alabama.
